Language Details of Children

Language is a mean of communication of our ideas or feelings by using conventionalized sounds and signs which includes spoken and written languages.We can not pass our messages in regular way to  others in obsence of such symbols and signs.

we can say that language is a system of symbols that is used by a group of people and all agreed upon meaning of that symbol system.

All social animals communication with each other from bees and ants to whales and apes but only humans have a develpoment a language which is more than a set  of prearranged symbols/signals .Our speech even differ in a physical from the communication of other animals.Human brain is unique is structure.Our brain organises sounds and meanings on a rational basis because of this unique structure.

A language is a system of communication which consists of a set of sounds and written symbols which are used by the people of a particular country or region for talking or writing. … The language of a piece of writing or speech is the style in which it is written or spoken.

Language can have scores of characteristics but the following are the most important ones: language is arbitrary, productive, creative, systematic, vocalic, social, non-instinctive and conventional. These characteristics of language set human language apart from animal communication.
