Importance Of Movement child
According to Dr.Maria Montessori ,Movement is a wonderful acquisition. At birth the child moves very little, and then gradually his body starts to move. The movements that the child acquires are not formed by chance. They are determined in the sense that they are acquired during a special period which she gave a name sensitive Periods.Movement as important for the life as flowing water has life and freshness.
Movement is a fundamental aspect of life. Movement is more than just ‘exercise’ and does not necessarily require effort, though it does require action. Movement affects everything, from circulation to digestion to metabolism to immunity. With movement, our bodies regulate hormone activity, detoxify and respire. When the child begins to move, his absorbent mind has already taken in the environment .Before he starts to move,an unconscious psychic development has already taken place.
As he starts to move he begins to become conscious .If you watch a small child of three .He is always playing with something..That means he is elaborating with his hands ,putting into his unconscious mind had taken in before .
Research shows that encouraging free movement can give children space to develop self-awareness, learn non-verbal ways of communicating and to get to know themselves and their body. Children learn their range of motion, balance, muscle strength, coordination, and endurance.Physical activities promotes healthy growth and development.
