Montessori Method
Montessori movement disappeared from America and declined in many other countries by 1940.Some of the reason for decline of Montessori movement are :>
1.The transportation and travel along with sharing of knowledge disrupted greatly between America and Europe during and after World War 1 & 2
2. In 1922 , the most Influential scholar William kilpatrick re-examined Montessori Method in his book in which h he dismissed Montessori Method as out dated and based on no longer accepted theories of psychology .He criticized Montessori Method unfairly and unreasonably . He was considered as one of the most popular and influential scholar and his book also became equally influential .
Montessori training courses in subcontinent
Before the independence of Pakistan , Maria Montessori accepted the invitation and visited sub-continent with her only son Mario Montessori in 1939. She conducted sixteen batches of courses called the Indian Montessori Training Courses with the help of his son , Therefore ; a strong foundation was established for the Montessori Movement in India .
The Revival Of Montessori Method
Since 1960″s Montessori movement got surprising revival in America .Nancy McCormick Rambusch was the actual person who contributed in the real sense for the revival of the Montessori Method in America by establishing the America Montessori Society (AMS) in 1960 . Now , once again there are a large number of Montessori schools and Montessori organizations Working in America and their number is in hundred / thousands
